Question by Tony Soprano: 32 or 42 inch TV for Bedroom? Hey I was just wondering if 42 inch HDTV would be “pushing it” as far as bedroom tvs go. I am about to move out of my college dorm so I wanted something bigger than a 20 inch flat that I have now.
I have a ps3 so I will be playing video games and watching blu ray movies as well as streaming movies/tv shows from my computer and watching a lot of sports on it probably

Thanks….the 40-42 inch seem to be about $ 700-$ 1000 range and the 32 inch seem to be like $ 500 or so which is a great “price” for me but I would be willing to spend a few extra hundred bucks if its worth it in the long run

Answer by AM It may be better to get a 42 inch right now since they are cheaper due to the economy. I have a 32 inch HDTV in my room and I think it is great size. I can play my wii and watch movies without a problem. My 32 inch was about 900 when i bought it, so now that its about 500 its pretty good especially if your moving out.

Question by Rick A: Is it just me..Or is PC ignored as of late? I mean, there’s the obvious, and overused “price” argument, but why does it seem so many companies are moving away from PC? This can be either alright, or terrible. In the case of Morrowind->Oblivion, this was a horrible, horrible thing, and I feel Fallout 3 was hurt by it as well, but not anywhere near as badly, as it was much more like “Morrowind with Guns.” Complete with Cliff Ra-err, Bloatflies.
Moving on, I saw an ad the other day saying “all platforms” with tons of logos(incl last-gen, even the original Xbawks), none of them PC. So why abandon the platform? I mean, I can build one that will run Crysis(youtube this and look for an HD video) on high at 30fps(faster than DVD, which is 24fps, and faster than most 360/PS3 games run at 720p anyway) for $ 550, not counting Windoze.
So for such a platform, why move away? Almost each and every recent PC exlcusive has been jaw-dropping in some way or another. NeverWinter Nights 2 and Mask of the Betrayer were absolutely brilliant RPGs, X³: Terran Conflict is a space sim, which you simply don’t see anymore, and Crysis is…visually blinding(and demanding).
So I ask again, why move away from the platform? Price isn’t such a huge issue, and the visual differences are there, considering the vast majority of PCs these days run at either 1680×1050, 1280×1024, or 1920×1200, which are all greater than 720p(1280×720), which all the consoles run at, and if they support 1080p, run at and then upscale TO 1920×1080. Some rich sods with their 30 inch monitors run 2560×1600…bastards.
To put down price, the average $ 550+ prebuilt system you buy today from a store can be made capable of running Crysis on high, or perhaps beyond for the cost of an Nvidia 9800GT graphics card($ 120), and possibly(included one may be insufficient) a new, 500W power supply from a reliable company(Corsair, Antec, CoolerMaster, $ 60), which, together, is $ 180. That $ 180 converts the mdoest little family cpmputer into something capable of Crysis funtime. Well, I *could* say EcksBawks, and I say “Windoze” because MS hasn’t added a worthwhile feature in some time besides UAC, and they didn’t implement it right, because it asks for far too many things. No, this does not make me an Appleboy, but rather a frosty, scary penguin person!
